**Teesateskie Goes Yard Twice as Lady Devils Crush Cherryville in Round Two**

The Swain County Lady Devils made a loud statement Friday night, rolling past Cherryville 12-1 in the second round of the NCHSAA playoffs—and it was Carley Teesateskie who stole the show.

Teesateskie launched *two* home runs, one to center in the fourth and another to left in the sixth, finishing the game with two RBIs and firing up the Lady Devils dugout each time.

But Swain didn’t wait to take control. They exploded for seven runs in the first inning, setting the tone early. Faith Woodard got it started after getting hit by a pitch to force in a run, followed by a walk to Maddie Bird, an RBI single from Allie Stephenson, and back-to-back doubles from Reese Ammons and Rylee Rawls that cleared the bases.

By the end of the third, Swain was up 8-1, helped by a Cherryville error. Then came the Teesateskie bombs—one in the fourth and another in the sixth—to keep the momentum rolling. Stephenson also added a sac fly for good measure.

In the circle, Rawls was in control all game long. She gave up just one unearned run on six hits, striking out five over six solid innings to earn the win.

The Lady Devils pounded out 12 hits total, with Rawls, Teesateskie, Kennedy Anthony, Stephenson, and Ammons all collecting two each. Those same four—Rawls, Teesateskie, Stephenson, and Ammons—each drove in a pair of runs, showcasing how dangerous this Swain lineup is from top to bottom.

Swain also showed great patience at the plate, drawing seven walks, with Woodard and Bird working two each.

This was a dominant all-around performance from a team that looks hungry to keep climbing. The Lady Devils now shift focus to the next round as their playoff push continues.
